Leaving The Pavement Behind

Sometimes, you just have to leave the pavement behind.

This philosophy can be applied to life figuratively, as well as literally, and it’s one that J.C. and I embrace wholeheartedly.

With our wedding anniversary that fell on Monday in the rear view and a holiday weekend on the horizon, we decided to claim a day for ourselves. We headed to Beaufort, South Carolina for a post- anniversary romantic getaway, and some quality Mr. & Mrs. "downtime". All things considered, it probably would have turned out a lot less adventurously if we had started with a full tank of gas, instead of running on the reserve tank.

Truth

I think my "talkee" may be broke, or at least very, very, tired after Sunday’s event at Forsyth Park in Savannah, Ga.

I have NEVER in my life met so many people, made so many connections, shook so many hands, or swayed so many souls to a cause as I have since the founding of Full Bowls.

And it feels damn good; but more than that, it feels RIGHT.
